Here’s the bad news: we lose about 1% of our collagen every year after we turn 20. Here’s the good news: HALO at our Fenton, Michigan, med spa can help. With the Sciton HALO, we can kickstart your natural collagen production so you can enjoy fresh, vital, evenly textured skin, whether you’re 21 or 21-at-heart.
What Does HALO Treat?
HALO is super versatile and helpful for women and men from Flint, Holly, Linden, Parshallville, and surrounding cities who have different skin concerns, including:
- Brown/Age spots
- Enlarged pores
- Overall tone and texture issues
How Much Does HALO Cost?
At REJUV AVE., the cost of HALO is $1500 per treatment. Add on neck and chest for $500.
How Does HALO Work?
HALO is a hybrid fractional resurfacing system that can sequentially utilize two wavelengths in its delivery, non-ablative 1470 nm and ablative 2940 nm. 1470 nm wavelength is absorbed by water making it ideal for non-ablation of soft tissue and creating controlled zones of coagulation to chosen depths into the dermis. Treating with HALO 1470 nm laser alone produces non-ablative channels only. HALO also uses 2940 nm for it is high absorption in water which results in precision ablation as desired in the epidermis. This combination allows for fractionated non-ablative and ablative skin resurfacing resulting in a cosmetic improvement in pigmentation and appearance of skin, as well as other effects of photoaging.
Does HALO Hurt?
With the help of a topical anesthetic, and our Nitronox pain & anxiety management device, you’ll probably only feel a bit of discomfort. Towards the end of treatment, you’ll begin to feel warmth caused by the treatment. It’s nothing our clients can’t handle for the sake of gorgeous skin.
What is HALO Recovery Like?
Right after your treatment, your skin will be red and very warm, almost as if you have a sunburn. We have a device called the Zimmer chiller, which you will use for a few minutes post treatment to alleviate the heat you will be experiencing. We recommend cold clothes, cold packs, even a cold roller to use 1-2 hours post treatment. Redness is normal and expected. Redness generally increases in intensity for the first few days after treatment, with day 3 being the most intense.
MEND’s (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) will appear on the 2nd or 3rd day after treatment as dark spots and bronzed appearance to the treated skin. They are part of the healing process, feel like sandpaper and will flake off in a few days. Keep the skin moisturized.
Swelling occurs first 2-4 days post treatment. Especially undereye first day. You may choose to sleep in an upright position for the first 2-3 nights.
It is important to keep your skin hydrated and protected from the sun for the first 2 weeks.
Avoid lotion immediately following treatment. A gentle cleanser and moisturizer is recommended after treatment, in which we provide a post-care kit. It is suggested that retinoids are discontinued two weeks prior to initial treatment and throughout the course of treatment. The use of retinoids during the course of treatment may result in undesirable side effects and prolonged healing. You should avoid products or manual forms of exfoliation of skin for at least 2 weeks after the treatment.Back to Top
